The Digital Ambassadors presented an assembly on Monday. We talked about what we have done so far, what we have planned, and also launched our brand new #Proud of My selfie House competition. Watch this space!

Hang Out With Jimmy Wales

Just before half term, we were one of just three schools in the country taking part in a live Google hangout with Jimmy Wales, (the founder of Wikipedia). Hundreds of schools signed up to view, but our pupils were able to participate in a full question and answer session with Jimmy.

You Tube unblocked!

You asked us for You Tube, and we delivered! We asked you to give us names of websites that you wanted unblocking in school, and you overwhelmingly asked for You Tube. the Digital Leaders met with Mr McDermott and agreed that You Tube should be unblocked for use in school.

Year 9 Respect Day

Last term the Digital Leaders hosted a whole day of sessions for Year 9 Respect Day. the Year 9s were Learning all about Digital Safety and Responsibility, and as part of that the Digital Leaders planned and delivered four sessions - pretty exhausting I'm sure you'll agree!

Year 9 pupils were able to use a range of apps on the iPads in order to build apps. They also learned how to use iMovie and created some pretty impressive videos!
